Six Flags!!!
Tyler's company had their annual work party at Six Flags this past weekend! It was incredibly hot but so worth it to go since we got in free. We could go all day, but from 7pm and on it was just open to XTO employees. We ended up getting there around 4:30pm and the first ride of the night was the carousel. Bad picture quality so I'll let you try and find the boys! It was an over 100 degree day so we were sweating the minute we got out of the car.
Along with getting in to the park free we each got $20 to spend so we ate some horrible tasting chicken nuggets but we were so hungry! We also got free water bottles that had free refills everywhere which was sooo necessary!
Austin and Blake also got these Superman shirts with capes for free. Tyler and I got shirts too with the entire Justice League on the front but we didn't wear them.
Boys being silly
Austin loves making silly faces.
We all got to ride the antique cars. They loved them!
Blake was so excited to go on rides!
I was glad I didn't have to sit out!
Austin popped two out of three balloons and won a ducky! There were two older girls right next to him that were about 12 and they couldn't pop a balloon. Austin has a rocket arm!
Tyler took Austin on the go carts! They got to go for free on these too. It was worth the half hour wait because Austin loved it!
Blake was a trooper waiting with mommy.
Here's the ducky Austin won. Blake and him became fast friends.
Zooming around the corner in the go carts
Tyler almost made it in basket 2 twice! So close. All we walked away with was a little soft snake. But Austin was happy!
Tyler did ride one big ride. Superman!
All the boys in the truck
Enclosed ferris wheel. This was a great test to see if the boys liked rides. It was their first time.
Watching Austin ride his biggest coaster yet!
Tyler got Austin to raise his hands almost the whole time. This kid loves thrill rides! Another ride they did was the mini mine train that takes you in complete darkness. Austin loved that one too.
It was a fun adventure even with the heat. It definitely was bad timing since I couldn't ride any rides. But it was worth it to take the boys on all the ones we could in the amount of time we had. I hope they do this again next year!

Tea Party
My friend Allison threw a Tea Party for her birthday and I must say I definitely felt like I was in another country!
She has the perfect Victorian Style home for the setting.
She picked up this sweet China set at a yard sale! This really got me excited about getting some China. Cheap China...that is...at an Estate Sale/Yard Sale
Such a cute little buffet stand! Also a thrifty find. She is amazing at finding sweet deals
She also handmade the bunting above us. Here's me and Bonnie posing in our gloves and pearls!
We learned the proper way to drink tea from the Downton Abbey Cookbook. Can't wait for the next season!
And here is the Amazing Allie. The first course was salad with her homemade dressing, then chilled raspberry soup(DELICIOUS) with a garnish, then the scones and English Cream/butter and jam, and then sandwiches(egg, ham and cheese, and cucumber) with the crusts cut off. Then we finished off with some dessert. She is about to cut her birthday cake/tart. It was so fun! Oh and her husband dressed in tails and was our butler. What a trooper!

Gender Reveal Party!
My awesome friend asked me if she could throw me a Gender Reveal Party...at first I was a bit hesitant, but after she asked me about 5 times I said yes. :)
She is SUPER duper creative and I loved this envelope that I took to my ultrasound appointment. Her hubby actually made the envelope himself. What a talented pair.
Everyone got to vote and then wear a sticker that said I voted! so cute. At the end there was one more girl vote than boy vote. And everyone came dressed up in blue or pink depending on what they thought I was having.
Party set up! She sewed the bunting herself. I loved the blue, pink, gold colors.
Garlic Parmesan popcorn (boy), and sugar and spice popcorn (girl), also blue and pink sprinkled rice krispies, and chocolate chip cookies (my fav)
The chocolate mouse truffle stuff in the back is divine!
Everyone got to suggest boy names and girl names before hand. We went through them after. Some top ones were Curly, Gwenevere, Noah(No-A-Hair)...pretty clever
And the MYSTERY cake.
Me beforehand
When I cut the first side I saw the blue and said! Oh my gosh I think I saw BLUE! I was so surprised. The first trimester of this pregnancy has felt so different than the other two so it seemed as if a girl would be headed our way.
Doctor cleared marked boy and the ultrasound picture was the most detailed boy I've ever seen in an ultrasound picture! It's a bit too graphic to post. haha. So we've definitely got a handful of boys on our hands.

Blake's Birthday Bash!
So here's what we did for Blake's Birthday. It was a Cars Theme since Blake LOVES McQueen and Mater
I had balloons hooked on the bottom of the streamers but the boys knocked them all off before guests arrived.
I made the cake and was pretty happy with how it turned out!
I went simple with the food. Just watermelon and cupcakes and chocolate covered mini donuts(spare tire)
I had the kids decorate cardboard boxes so they could use them as cars for the car wash.
Austin was the first to run through the car wash. The kids were timid at first but once they got going they had a lot of fun. And look how GREEN our grass is!! We've had a nice amount of rain this July which I've never experienced so much at this time of year. It's been great! Usually our grass is dead and yellow by now.
I sort of felt bad because Blake didn't like it at all so I have no pictures of him. But he had fun driving his bikes around while everyone else ran through.
I picked up a couple tires from my friend who owns a ranch and just had them hanging around. She was glad to have us take them off her hands! So we did a ball toss into them.
My friend Jane swinging on the kids swing. Everyone had a great time on the tree fort as well.
Almost all the ladies sitting and watching the husbands dunk basketballs on a 8 foot hoop!
And finally! Here's the birthday boy! Blowing spit all over his cake. haha! But he blew them out on his own.
And he dig right in to those cupcakes! Happy Birthday Blake!

Blake Turns 2
Wow! 2 years old already? I can hardly believe it. He is growing up and talking so much though. And he's definitely got an attitude and temper that comes along with 2 year olds. But he's still my sweet precious baby Blake to me. That is "baby" until the next one is here.
Tyler got this train table at an auction for a stealin' deal. We just had to dust everything off piece by piece before I let him take it in the house. The boys LOVED IT! They woke up this morning and headed straight to it.
Church that day sure did wear everyone out. I had to wake them up so we could go eat dinner at a friend's house.
Blake blew out his candles right before the end of the song and I was not ready for that! So I made him fake blow for the picture.
Mini cupcakes were a hit! and so much easier to eat than the regular size ones.
At one point all the attention was on Blake. He usually quiets down and puts on his no smile face but he got really funny and started making funny faces at everyone and laughing really hard.
More funny faces
Love his blue eyes!
