Some friends of ours invited us to spend the weekend at Beaver's Bend and share a cabin with them and their 4 kids! It was so so much fun to get away for a short time. The lake was beautiful! The weather was a bit rainy and drizzly but not enough to stop us from having fun. Of course the first item of business to take care of was throwing rocks in the lake.
Unlike my other kids, Cody was not afraid of the water one bit! The first thing he did was walk right out into the water. And continued to the entire time. It was nice to get him distracted by this trike for a bit so I wasn't constantly running after him.
We brought our kayak with us and everyone was antsy to try it out.
Austin learned to paddle by himself
Another distraction for the baby giant
Blake was so patient as he waited his turn. He loved being out on the water
Cody wasn't quite sure what to think at first but once they started moving he was lovin' it!
While everyone took turns we found some other fun stuff to keep us busy. We brought bikes
Cody joined in on some frisbee
Here we are outside the cabin. We had fun staying up way too late playing games and eating candy while the kids were in bed! Of course the time went by way too fast but we will definitely come back another year.
I finally got Austin to smile normal. Of course Blake had to spice things up! They are just too cute.

We had some snow days recently and the entire town of Fort Worth shuts down. So we have nowhere to go and get to play all day in the snow! Which ends up being small bits at a time since we still have yet to buy some good gloves for these kiddos. Austin 4-wheelin' it in the snow with the Jeep
Striking a pose
I spent Cody's naptime outside playing
Pulling Austin in the sled. He lasted longer than I did... and in the picture below of Cody...Cody is the only one with the snowsuit and he does not like the snow! We took him sledding and he cried the entire time. Poor kid.
We've been growing Blake's hair out and you can see his wings if you look close!
And Austin's eyelashes are still as long as ever! I'm excited for next week to be in the 70's!!!!
I went to my friend's house for some girl time Mardi Gras fun. She had fun masks for all of us to wear.
We also made some really fun lookin' necklaces from Mardi Gras beads! I'm wearing it in this picture. We just braided a bunch together and cut them and tied a ribbon to the ends. Super cute!
Me and Bonnie!
The weather was PERFECT for Valentine's Day this year so we headed out about 25 minutes away to go mountain biking. We had a blast! It was fun to get the bike out after not using it for....hmmm...maybe 2+ years?
After biking we headed over to Sweet Tomatoes to try out. It was delicious! Not your usual Valentine's Date Dinners but was perfect. It's buffet style with a bunch of healthy foods. What could be better?
