Pushups

Okay, I really hate to brag, but I feel VERY proud of myself right now. I must still have some adrenaline from my race yesterday...but today I did 145 pushups....That's right....read it again...

145

The mental toughness is getting stronger! I did 5 total sets to get me to that number. (Resting a pretty good amount in between - probably the longest rest period was 4 minutes)...I really just want to get a shirt that says "I DID 100 PUSHUPS"

Cowtown Half Marathon

We did it!!! Here I am with friends. The course was a great one! I ran it in 1:57:19. My goal was to get under 2 hours and I was happy to do it. Now what to do next???

Dinosaur World

We spent yesterday at Dinosaur World...about an hour away. It was a fun adventure. After we walked around to look at the dinosaurs there was a great playground to play on. We went to the playground first for a bit and Austin peed through his diaper really bad! We had an extra outfit for Blake so Austin got to wear some 9 month size pants! Pretty funny! Check out his pants in the next pictures.

Oh yah! You work those pants boy!

Pretending he's a Dinosaur

Austin thought he could scare him

He's gonna eat me!

Oh yes, and Blake came too!

The nasty colored waterhole...

Tyler thinks he can communicate with them

Acting like Dinosaurs!

Fun with Boys

Austin and Blake have been having fun riding their bikes. Austin does a good job pushing Blake.

Lately Blake has been doing this really goofy smile...maybe his new nickname will be "Squints"

Chub-a-lub in the tub. Now we bathe sitting up! Hooray. He's got some serious thunder thighs and this picture does not do them justice.

Austin doesn't like the paint to get on his fingers.

His 2 favorite colors

We got this awesome trike for a great price thanks to our awesome neighbors who were selling it! Austin LOVES it.

I did my Pushup max last night and did 45 pushups! Wahoo! Still a long way from 100...but honestly, I don't think I'll get there. Yah...bad attitude, but really...I like the workout, so I'll keep doing it for a while. Half Marathon is this weekend!!!!!! I'll let you know how it goes.

Here's Blake right at 6 months old. I hate to brag(haha) but he is such a sturdy boy! He will stand like this for a few minutes. He'll even grab at toys on the jumper and be holding on with one hand. He also can go from a sitting up position to his belly on purpose without falling over.

Here is Austin with his favorite snacks. Strawberries and cheese. He's actually saying strawberries for the camera.

Here's Blake practicing being a missionary. Maybe I should send this to the Ensign!

Austin still asks to hold Blake every now and then. Blake loves sippy cups!

Austin loves giving him hugs

Happy Boys!

An update on my 100 pushups? I made it through week 5! So now Week 6 is the last week...which really is a killer and will probably take me a few weeks to accomplish...but last night I did a total of 120 pushups in 8 sets!

This picture was taken about 2 weeks ago and I was surprised at how well Blake stayed on the bike with no help! What a big boy! He is just short of 19 lbs and 27 inches long. Just 2 days ago he started saying "bah bah bah". The best part is he'll say it and then start laughing and giggling about it! He recognizes when I do it back and will copy me as well. He has also started saying "ma ma". But has not made the connection that he's actually saying my name. Definitely a mama's boy!

See yah later mom! I'm going out for a ride!

Also, about 2 weeks ago, Austin was throwing the frisbee in the house and hit Blake in the face. I thought it had hit directly on his eye, but later the red mark formed right below. Thank goodness!

I told Austin to smile for the camera and he started yawning and he was smiling and this is how it turned out. Funny boy! I like the face Blake is giving him.

The first thing Tyler said when he saw this picture was: "He looks like ALF!" Do you guys remember the 1990's show ALF?! He was an alien who's a cross between Steve Urkel and a grizzly bear and lives with a family of humans. Good times... :)

Party in the Hair House!

I had a little birthday party on Tuesday with Austin's buddies. I made mini football cupcakes for the 2 year olds! They loved them!

I also put up an obstacle course with yarn that I saw on pinterest. It was a HIT! They loved it.

Singing Happy Birthday!

Makayla helping Austin blow out his candles

Everyone enjoying their cupcakes

It took them a while but they finally figured out how to make the blowers fully inflate.

Here's a shot of everyone doing the course. What a blast! Happy 2 years Austin!

Austin's Birthday

We celebrated Austin's birthday on Tuesday. His birthday is today 2/2/2012. Happy Groundhog's day as well! Here's some pictures from his birthday party. I made him a football cake(above)

So proud of himself for blowing out the candles

You touch my cake...

We were going to give him this shopping cart for Christmas and actually bought it a couple months before Christmas....but when Christmas rolled around we didn't end up giving it to him...so happy birthday! He actually REALLY likes it! He wouldn't stop pushing it to go to bed. Now he does my grocery shopping for me. Such a helpful little guy!
