This is an old roommate Julie. She is due a week after me with her SECOND kid. Crazy Girl!

Tyler and I before our ward Christmas Party. We had such a blast! We even danced some good ol' country swing dance for a while. I could only last so long with my huge belly but I did twirl a few times.

THE Christmas Tree

Sorry the pictures go from finish to start so you may need to scroll to the beginning of this and go upward.

The Real Star at the top

Tyler's version of the star

Decorating ourselves and the tree

Yay! I am as tall as the tree! Don't I look excited?

This is just the beginning

PREGO PICTURES!

This is me at....14 weeks. Or somewhere around there, and my SWEET mountain bike in the background.

This is me at 20 weeks. I would find out next week that a BOY is on the way.

After my Ultra Sound I stopped counting by weeks, so this is me with 4 months left...or somewhere around there.

So after people were shocked I didn't know what week I was on...I started counting again! This is me at 29 weeks. And my beautiful Orange wall in the background. This is my favorite wall in the entire house.

LaZy SunDaY

This is me and my rock...attempting to skip it on the water

This is Tyler and his rock (Massive) attempting to skip it on the water. Can I just say...Future Geologist in the making right here?

Right now our Sunday church schedule is Tyler leaves all morning and I meet up with him at 2:30-5:30 for church. I'm not a huge fan of the late schedule but it only lasts for a year! wahoo. This last Sunday was Stake Conference so we were done by noon, so Tyler and I decided to take a trip up to the Deer Creek Reservoir and explore. The weather was so nice! I was in short sleeves and no coat.

Halloween!

There were different games going on at our Ward Halloween Party. They needed one more contestant so my Bishop started chanting Rachel Hair...Rachel Hair...and soon everyone chimed in so I couldn't turn them down...Needless to say the gummy worms in the whipped cream were not easy to chew and I did not win...It was fun though!

Me as a pregnant gangster...mostly because I really wanted to wear those pants (old high school basketball warm-ups) and Tyler in his grandpa's Air Force attire-It was the real thing and even had a patch that said "Hair" on it...The suit was just a tad-bit high-water on him and accentuated his long legs! Hilarious!

Tyler and I won the partner donut eating contest on a string. It was pretty tricky with no hands but we were able to eat it all without any falling on the floor...Now that takes talent.

My Trip Home!

I went home to use some of my days off before I stop working. This is my little sister Kara (last one at home) and my mom. This dress really does hide my belly VERY WELL! I swear I wasn't sucking in.

So, the pictures were uploaded out of order...This is what Tyler had waiting for me when I got home! What a sweetie! A week later and they still look this beautiful!

This is my AWESOME grandpa in the middle. He flew back with me to come visit the family he has up in Utah. His hat really adds to his outfit!

Tyler's Birthday!

Here is Tyler's Birthday cake. Impressive isn't it? His birthday was October 22nd
We went to Tucano's for Tyler's Birthday dinner since he had a free meal. We (I) ate so much we decided to go walk around the mall because I didn't think I could sit through a movie...I can't eat as much in one meal like I used to...So sad!

Tyler went to India on a BYU Geology Department field trip (he's a geology major). They spent 17 days exploring the Himalaya Mountains.

Who knew Tyler could grow a beard...and even look good with one! This picture was taken at a geology stop where the students all got out of their jeeps and talked about what had happened to the rocks right around the road. Pretty sweet structural geology in the background!

Tyler's new friend, a 10ish year old Buddhist monk named Namgy. He sat next to Tyler during the Dalai Lama's address and was fascinated by everything Tyler had. He tried on the sunglasses, wore Tyler's watch, rubbed Tyler's arm hair (he didn't have any), and drew pictures and wrote his name on a piece of paper that Tyler pulled out.
While the geologists were in Leh (a town in north western India), the Dalai Lama was in town visiting the Buddhist faithful. Leh is about 90% Buddhist. The Dalai Lama is from Tibet, and he is living in exhile along with many of his fellow Tibetans because of China's occupation in the 1950's. This picture was taken as we walked to our seats just 30 yards from the Lama himself! He taught about being virtuous and about strengthing our family relationships among other things.

Beautiful mountain flowers high in the Rishi Ganga, about 500 feet below the glacier (13,000 ft).

A typical sight on the narrow roads that wind through the narrow, steep-walled Ganges river valley.

Tyler and his friend Drew taking a break during their hike up the Rishi Ganga (a canyon carved out by a glacier). The hike started at 10,800 feet and ended at 13,700 feet. The dude in the middle is from Japan and he lives in a cave in the canyon. He was pretty excited when Tyler shared a Cliff bar with him...apparetly he has been in the Rishi Ganga for 6 years, surviving mostly on lentils, rice, and weeds!
After spending the night high up in the Rishi Ganga, the group returned to the town of Badrinath, which sits at the bottom of the canyon in a narrow river valley. The town is a sacred site for Hindu's, and many people make a pilgrimage to the prayer temples there sometime during their lives. As Tyler was walking back into the outskirts of town these little children came running out of their houses, hugging his legs and laughing. They were so cute that he had to stop and take a picture!

Tyler standing at the mouth of the receding glacier (on the ice!) that carved the Rishi Ganga canyon. Many of the boulders behind him are the size of cars! Glaciers are fascinating because they are always active. Waterfalls cascade down the toe of the glacier and rivers flow underneath them. All of this moving water constantly causes rocks and dirt to fall off of the glacier too.

I thought Tyler looked hot in this picture! (Oh, and the mountains in the background are pretty cool looking too. The peak is called Nil Kant, and it wasn't conquered by mountaineers until 1997 because it is such a technical climb. You can see the glacier in the background just to the left of Tyler.)

Crazy Indian construction! One cement mixer, tons of bamboo, and very slow progress. I think it's going to be a water tower eventually.

Tyler and his new friends, who really only liked him because of his money, haha! The exchange rate is 50 rupees to 1 dollar, so nice stuff can be pretty cheap in India.
