Trip home to Walla Walla, June 2010

I used to ride this same rocking horse when I was a little girl. Now Austin is learning how!

Sisters with babies! It was so much fun getting these boys together for the first time and the last time for a while. Tyler and I moved to Texas so it was the last trip home before the move.

Austin is 3 and a half months older than these other two. Benson is in the middle and Brooks on the right. Those two are only 4 days apart. Kinda crazy we all had boys within 3 months! I wonder who is going to have the next one first!

"Ooooh" Austin says.

Trying to gnaw through the side of the bottle to get at the water...under the supervision of Aunt Kara...

Austin with Aunt Lori

This picture was taken in the wheat field right next to our house. I love this time of year when the wheat is tall but still green!
Austin making a goofy face. Look at those eyes!
He loved the swing we have on our swingset. Just chillin'
Definitely framing this picture!
Grandma with Austin at the campfire up at the Gasaway Farm in Dayton. We had a little talent show with the Gasaway's which turned out to be really fun! Lori and I did some country swing dancing for everyone! I did the guys part.
Austin on our way to hike the Oregon Butte with the Gasaway family. (Jana's in-laws)
This was Austin's first extended period of time in his front-pack carrier but he did GREAT! He fell asleep about 10 minutes to the top and then slept the entire way down! It was about a 6 mile hike and he definitely gave me a good workout. Good thing he's just a lil' guy!
The view was GORGEOUS!
When we stopped for lunch a mile or so from the top we saw a mountain lion walking away from us over back behind a ridge. Scary!
Brad "of course" brought his golf club along and 3 golf balls so he could hit them off the top. His second shot was really good!

Alainna's Visit

Alainna (Fielding) Beus came for a visit just before we moved to Texas. I hadn't seen her little Jonathan so I was so happy we were able to get together before we left. We were laughing sooo hard taking these pictures because Austin was smiling and wiggling and laughing the whole time but Jonathan slept like a rock! This first picture makes it seem like Austin is bigger than him from the angle the picture was taken....but...
From this angle you can see he is already bigger than Austin! Jonathan is 2 and a half months younger than Austin is but already weighed 1 1/2-2 pounds more!

Tummy time for Family Home Evening

Austin loves this frog. We call it Senor Frog. He gets really excited when we shake it in front of his face; so excited that he kicks his legs and shakes his little arms all over!
SOOOOO CUTE!!! I love that smile!
Having fun with mommy on the tummy

The whole family :)

Aunt Amanda

Tyler's family came to visit us first week of June. Amanda had a lot of fun playing with him and baby-sitting him which gave me a nice break! I love it when family comes to town. Here they are playing Pat-a-Cake

Here they are again! Best buds!

Happy Birthday to ME!

Align Center
Birthday: PART I: My birthday was last week on May 26. My friend Sara took me out to lunch to Rumbi Island Grill and ice cream at Coldstone afterwards. She loves babies and Austin has tons of fun with her. She also babysat for me that week. We will definitely miss the Lyman's when we leave!
Birthday Part II: Tyler got me Ticket to Ride and wrapped it in one of Austin's blankets...so creative... ;) We didn't have wrapping paper. I played this game for the first time a few weeks back and LOVED IT! Tyler also made me Spaghetti for dinner and Chandler made my birthday cake.
Here we are playing Ticket to Ride right after I opened it. Austin got way into the game and was great helping me choose what cards I was going to play next.
Birthday PART III: So I've had a gift certificate to get a manicure since last summer from Sara (Lehman) Castor when I was a bridesmaid at her wedding. I kept meaning to use it but never did! I finally used it 2 days after my birthday on the expiration date. It was my first manicure and it was fabulous! What a great birthday present. Thanks Sara!
Birthday Part IV: Jana took me out to lunch 2 days after my birthday at Kneaders and we brought all the kids along. Daylen, Kate, Brooks, and Austin. Afterwards Jana babysat all 4 at my house while I went and got my manicure! Just prepping her for her next kid...haha. That was such a nice treat. Here is my niece Kate saying "cheese" while stuffing my birthday cake in her mouth.
Me nephew Daylen eating some of my birthday cake and making a funny face at the camera like usual.
I don't think I take enough pictures with Austin and me. It was kinda hard getting him to smile while holding the camera out in front though, so this is the best one out of a lot.
Supposedly these pants are 3-6 month size....but I'm pretty sure they were labeled wrong...
Austin in his adorable overalls! The best part is the yellow shirt has a cow on it.

Brooks has arrived! 5/8/2010

Brooks Casey Gasaway was born the day before Mother's Day. What a great Mother's Day present! Tyler and I watched Daylen and Kate during the event and took them to church on Sunday (Mother's Day) with us. Boy was that an eye opener! Going from 1 kid to 3 was great practice for the future. We barely made it in time for our church which is at 2:30 PM. But I was able to drive Jana's mini-van and it was pretty fun packing 3 kids around! I felt so old :)

Here I am with Brooks. I spent the week with Jana after Brooks was born so she could have some help with the house and with her 2 kids. Poor Austin got neglected but he did so great! When he gets tired for a nap all I do is lay him down in his crib and he goes right to sleep. No binky and no rocking.
Compared to Brooks, Austin looks soo big! I love newborns! Brooks is such a good baby. He sleeps a lot and his cry is sooo quiet!
Here they are again! Sorry this uploaded sideways for some reason...weird! I love this one because Brooks looks like he is pointing his toes and trying to look as long as possible.
I like Austin's expression here. He looks a bit concerned.
Here are the kids together. It was a fun week!

Take Me Out to the Ball Game!

We went to the BYU Baseball home game this last Saturday and Austin was REALLY excited to go as you can see below.

We met up with Jana and Brad and their kids at the game. Brooks (Their newest addition) is almost a week old in this picture! I couldn't believe Jana was able to go. She said with each kid the recovery is faster. Thank goodness. I love Daylen in this picture! He's got a ton of funny faces.
Austin started getting a bit tired by the end of the game.
Here he is out cold. Precious!
